January 2008
Angelic Greetings!!
Waiting on the World to Change?
We are off and running into 2008 and the buzzword is "change."
It's everywhere - in politics, in your life I am sure, and in
your spiritual world. So I guess it's no surprise that I have
been guided to this topic. I was out jogging this morning and I
began receiving ideas about this article and thinking about the
song by John Mayer, "Waiting on the World to Change." Well,
moments later, the song began playing on my I-Pod (I had no idea
it was on the playlist I was listening to). As soon as the song
ended, the battery died and my I-Pod turned off, as if to
signal: "That's all you need to know. Now go to it."
So I want to share
some of the strong guidance I have been receiving since the year
began. First, it is time for us to stop "waiting" for the
changes we want, whether globally or personally, and begin
taking action. The angels want to remind us - please pay
attention, this is important - that we must change our mentality
of "This is the way it is." We think we are powerless to change
certain situations because they are too big or we lack the
money, time, or knowledge to change them. Wrong!!!
I have witnessed
too many miracles in my life to not believe anything is
possible. And so have you. Go back and think about some of the
experiences you've had with miracles. Maybe you know someone who
has defied the odds to survive a life-threatening illness or
injury. Maybe you've had money appear out of nowhere just when
you needed it. What about all those times or moments when you
felt you were at the end of your rope and then the next day the
sun came out, everything turned brighter, and you had renewed
hope and faith? We have to remember there is always a new day.
This past weekend,
I met a woman who teaches fire-walking. Not only do her students
walk on fire, but they also walk on glass, and allow someone to
bend an arrow that is pointed at their throat (ouch!). So what's
the point (no pun intended)? The woman explained that it is
about breaking down our mental programming that tells us that
certain things are impossible. It is about changing your
perception, she said, to include and allow new possibilities in
your reality. And of course, this can have a profound effect on
all aspects of a person's life. In her own life, the
fire-walking has helped her become one of those odds-defying
survivors, having miraculously healed from several major health
challenges.
So how do we begin
to change our mental programming and shift our perception
without having to walk across fiery coals? We can start by
examining our thoughts and beliefs. Where and when are you
saying or thinking "can't happen" or "not possible" or "not me"?
Where are you limited to certain beliefs because you've been
programmed to think it's just how things are? Are other people's
opinions influencing you? Once you are aware of those thoughts
and beliefs, work on releasing them and changing them by
choosing new thoughts and affirmations. You can also use your
imagination. If you could wish for anything, what would it be?
What would it look like? Then release it all to the angels and
Infinite Spirit knowing with complete faith that the highest
good will come to you in the divine time and manner.
This year, the
angels say we have a momentous opportunity as lightworkers to
bring about positive changes in the world. We can become engaged
in the U.S. presidential election and encourage others to do so.
More importantly, regardless of what candidate or political
party we support, we can join in prayer for a fair election
whose outcome will be for the highest good of all. We can watch
our words and thoughts when we begin to bash the political
system and fall into that "things will never change" mode.
Rather we can change our perspective, believing anything is
possible, and hold a vision for a government and leader who will
demonstrate integrity, compassion, and strength of character. We
can tune out the sounds of "It can't be done" and instead hold a
vision of a peaceful resolution to the war in Iraq and all wars
around the globe.
In your personal
life, begin to let go of "This is the way it is." Remind
yourself to think about what you want rather than what you do
not want. Remind yourself that anything is possible and that
miracles do happen and are occurring all around you at every
moment. Are you noticing? Talk to your angels. If you are
struggling with a situation, give it to them. Give them all your
thoughts and doubts about why it cannot be changed. Then begin
to shift your perception and visualize a new reality in which
your prayers have been answered in a more spectacular way than
you could have ever imagined. Pray. Say your affirmations.
Visualize. Breathe. And allow the change to come, knowing you
are forever safe and protected, and very, very loved.
So let's stop
waiting on the world to change and start believing that it can
change!
Do You Have an "Anything is Possible" Story?
It helps shift our perceptions when we think about our own
miracles or read about others' experiences. So if you have a
story that can inspire others, please share it with us. Tell us
about a time when you were reminded that miracles do indeed
happen or about an experience that renewed your faith or caused
you to see the world in a new way. Email your stories to
ellenwv@aol.com and I'll
share them in upcoming newsletters.

Some Angelic Reminders for 2008
Sometimes the simple things bear repeating. Here are a few
reminders from the angels:
"You're Never Alone. Your angels, guides, and deceased loved
ones are always surrounding you. Look for the signs and messages
they are sending you.
"Ask for Help. Your angels always want to help, but unless it is
a life-threatening situation, they cannot intervene without you
asking. Remember to ask for and receive help from the people in
your physical life, too.
"It's Never Too Late… to write that book, to take that class, to
find love, to forgive, to say "I'm sorry", to say "I love you."
Have faith and go for it!
"Count Your Blessings. There are blessings in every moment. Even
in the most difficult circumstances, we can find hidden
blessings if we look deeply enough. Appreciate and be grateful
for the many, many blessings in your life.
"Love is the Answer. Begin by fully and deeply loving yourself
and you will know and attract great love into your life.
Fill yourself up with love every day. Send love to every cell of
your body. Feel love. Share it. Send it. Show it. Think with
love. Speak with love. Act with love. See yourself and everyone
as the angels do, through eyes of unconditional love.
Angel Blessings!
